Dead?I ran, my heart pounding, my breath catching in my throat. The wolf chasing me let out a low growl that echoed through the forest. His paws dug into the dirt and I dodged a tree root as I panted for breath. As he snarled again I gasped and doubled my efforts to escape. I knew if I got caught there would be no second chances; the vicious wolf would tear me apart limb by limb. As I ran, the fence was growing bigger, closer. It stretched around the entire perimeter. My legs moved faster and faster as if sensing the nearby freedom. I reached the fence and scrambled up, holing my feet in the tiny gaps. The wolf snapped at mDead?

WaitingPeople turned to stare at me as I walked through the crowded street. I walked past the people who were hurrying to get out of my way. Men, women and children stopped what they were doing and I heard the muttered praises behind me. They worshiped me. I knew that. My red silk dress clung to my body in all the right places and my hair fell in ringlets at my shoulders. My pale skin and golden eyes complemented my figure and I knew I was perfect in every way. It was the old saying, women wanted to be me and men wanted to be with me. Children looked up to me and I knew without a doubt I was the most awed women in history. I was a semi-God. I had beWaiting
